Disney's Animators Palate

From the moment we boarded the Disney Fantasy, the hospitality was top notch. We were excited about the whole week, but my favorite part of any cruise Is THE FOOD. Disney Cruise Line take a unique spin on their dining experience with the use of rotational dining.

Understanding Rotational Dining

Rotational dining enables guests to enjoy meals in various themed restaurants throughout the cruise. Each night, you dine at a different venue, each with its distinct décor and menu, while your servers rotate with you. This approach ensures that every meal is an exciting new experience, but with servers who know you and your families needs. You are able to choose between early seating and late seating.

OUR First Night Rotation: Animator's Palate

Our first night we were in Animator's Palate. Everything In this restaurant screams Disney! The walls came alive with hand-drawn animations that match the videos playing on the screen.

As we settled into our seats, our servers introduced themselves. Their warmth made us feel genuinely welcome. We were on a 7 night Very Merrytime Cruise, so we actually got THREE nights total in Animators Palate. Our first night was a standard dining experience with cute videos/music and the lights changed colors in the restaurant. Our second night there was for Pirate Night. Although we were in Animator's the menu is the same for all of the restaurants. Our last night was our "FUN" night at Animators. The highlight of the dinner was the breathtaking "Animation Magic" show, where our sketches sprang to life—a truly unforgettable experience! My oldest's sons drawing was even made to dance with the Genie!

The Menu

The standard menu has a lot of great options.

Some of our favorites are:

  • Smoked Salmon Tartar

  • Creamy Butternut Squash Soup

  • Ginger Teriyaki dusted Angus Beef Tenderloin

Other options:

There isn't a buffet open during dinner, but if you are looking for other options you can eat at one of the walk up options on the pool deck or get room service!
